Lecture III

After reading Aaron's post I have to say I have no confidence in my understanding of space and time and would appreciate if we could expand or explain that in class? In Lecture III I found the neighborhood idea of nearness to be extremely interesting, the idea that proximity does not equate to nearness-I have even witnessed his farm and city neighbor analogy first hand. With this understanding of a neighborhood is useful when considering how poetry and language are extremely close to each other through the experiences they make available. These experiences cannot be known any other way than direct experiences and I wonder how much of that goes on to explain other aspects of our life, or even life itself.
